Tribute

Benjamin "Ben" James Pike was born on June 15, 1995 to Daniel and Carrie Pike at Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina. He spent his childhood in North Carolina, Kansas, and Florida climbing trees, skateboarding, and satisfying his curiosity and adventurous spirit around the neighborhood. His love for music started at a young age and he loved his time as part of the drumline in the Lewis Middle School and Niceville High School bands. Music served as a strong connection between Ben and his whole family. His teenage years were filled with playlists and CDs that he and his sisters created and shared. During his adult life, Ben lived in Niceville, Orlando, Tallahassee, and Atlanta, making amazing friends and held a special place in the lives of so many. Ben was active in bands and music projects wherever he lived, creating music and gigging at local venues with his friends. No matter his job,

Ben was an incredibly hard worker who everyone enjoyed being on shift with. He found himself excelling and leading in his roles and became an integral part of his work teams. Ben had an immense passion for his family and friends, including his roles as uncle and godfather. He could always be found playing games with the kids that were a part of his life, making them laugh and loving them fiercely. Ben completed a Spartan race in October 2019 and enjoyed his time training and in the gym. He lived by a motto of unconditional love for his friends and family and was a strong supporter and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Ben was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, an uncle, and a friend. He taught us about strength, about love, and about courage. Ben was a lover, the life of the party, and a light to so many. But most of all, Ben was loved.
