Harvey C. Eastman II

December 28, 1952 ~ April 25, 2019 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Tribute

Harvey Eastman, 66, died suddenly on April 25, 2019 from a ruptured aortic aneurysm. He was born in Valparaiso on December 28, 1952 and lived in the area his entire life.  In his youth, he loved playing baseball in the Val-p Little Leagues and was one of the youngest players ever to make the All-Star team.  More than anything, he loved to fish.  He would fish from docks, from the shore, from a boat, with a pole, with a gig, or with a net.  After graduating from Niceville High School, he held various jobs.  He moved from one to another until finally finding his talent in the construction world as a sheetrock finisher.

Harvey was a lot of fun to be around.  He loved a good conversation with friends, talking about sports, movies, fishing, and complaining about the injustices he felt were put on the have-nots by the haves.  He often reminisced about his care-free childhood.  He was well aware that he was blessed to have been raised in the vale of paradise by loving parents, and he grew up with a whole neighborhood of friends to play with.  Harv had a great sense of humor, and he would keep the laughter going all night with friends around the poker table or the pool table.

He is survived by his sister, Paula Sutton, and brother-in-law Warren, of Tallahassee, and his two nephews Paul Eastman and Kyle Eastman.  Family who left this world before him were his parents, Paul and Norma Eastman, and his younger brother Norman.

A memorial celebration will be held at the Third Planet Brewery – Mothership, 1400 E. John Sims Parkway, Niceville, from noon to 2:00 on Saturday, May 18.
