John William Brown

John W. Brown of Niceville, FL exchanged time for eternity with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on January 14, 2019. He was born October 7, 1932 in the Palmerton Hospital.

John is survived by his daughter, Susan DeWitt, two grandsons, Brian (Anna) DeWitt & Russell (Tami) DeWitt, four great grandchildren, Ansley, Rylan, Jonah & River, a brother, Carl (Janet) Brown & numerous nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, William & Grace (Hongen) Brown, his wife, Joan, brother, Paul, & son-in-law, Walter DeWitt.

John, a native of Weissport, Pa & his wife Joan lived in Palmerton from 1972-1987. He was manager of Human Resources & Public Relations for HII dba New Jersey Zinc Company. John was also very active in the community through his church, various organizations & projects. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for LCCC, The Palmerton Hospital & Evangelical Congregational Church Retirement Village in Myerstown, Pa.

At his request there will be no services & he will be cremated in lieu of burial. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in John's name to Palmerton Area Historical Society, 410 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
