Tribute

Peter Wilhelm Franz Kueth passed away after a fulfilling life in which he was known for his larger-than-life personality and his desire to always help others.

A great heart and beautiful mind has left this earthly world! With Peter, the world has lost an extraordinary man, and for many he was always and forever the rock in troubled waters.

Peter was blessed with the opportunity to have positively touched countless lives as a friend, a business partner, and a family man.
He was born in Bielefeld, Westphalia, Germany, to his parents Rudolf Richard Wilhelm Kueth and Antonie Albertine Josephine Kueth (born Peine), on the 3rd of July in 1939.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Eva-Maria Gabriele Kueth (born Gottschalk), his children Christiane Kueth-Nowak and her husband Mario Walter Nowak, Peter-Marc Kueth and Gabriele-Silke Gottschalk, his brother Jochem Kueth and his grandchildren Kevin-Niclas Nowak, Nigel-Connor Nowak, and Lilia Julie Carlotta Gottschalk, a brother and sister-in-law and nephews and nieces.

Peter was a presence that would light up every room and who never met a stranger.

He was a visionary and a doer. He did not shy away from any conflict when he was convinced of his goal. Tenacious to the point of self-sacrifice, he pursued things and led them to success. He was able to win people over to his cause and inspire them. In doing so, he held his companions in high esteem, regardless of their social position, their background or their career. Peter was the consummate gentleman, a true presence who would light up every room with his outgoing personality, a man who never met a stranger he did not like.

Peter was a strong supporter of the Northwest Florida Community, after having been an influential entrepreneur in Germany.
His many successful business ventures and investments contributed to a vibrant “Blue Water Bay” Environment, making life better for everyone in the area. A street in the Blue Water Bay Shopping Plaza he helped create is named in his honor, and recognizes his many contributions to the citizens of Northwest Florida.

Peter was a larger than life personality, who found joy in many great things, and was a good friend to everyone who knew him. In his younger days, Peter loved playing golf and tennis. He was also a virtual encyclopedia and an enthusiast, lover and connoisseur of fine wine and finest culture and music and enjoyed entertaining his friends and family on many occasions.

In recent years he had to fight on many frontiers at the same time and he will continue to watch now from eternity over his family, whom he loved with all his heart, to let them finish and fulfill their dreams. Fighting a merciless cancer was one of the biggest fights of his life but God had given him a second chance and  the cancer finally went into remission.

Though Peter lived a full life, he was still taken too soon on the 22nd of February of 2021. We mourn Peter’s passing and miss him dearly but we know that he is in a better place now!

“Where you are now, we hope and pray that you have already overcome your pain and sorrows, to enjoy the peace and calm of eternity, to continue to feel our love, and to be able to look on the achievement of your life with enjoyment and delight and pride. What you were to us, you will always be to us. Our warmest wishes to those we love and who have gone before you and whom you will meet again.”

“The most precious legacy a human can bestow is the mark his love has made on our hearts.”

“John 14:1-3
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am.”

"Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth until, by Your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before."

There will be a small family ceremony in his native country Germany, where his ashes will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider supporting
